The use of threading to remove facial hair is widespread in Asia but is relatively new in the West. However, its popularity is gaining fast as the benefits become well-known.
Threading is performed using a length of pure cotton thread, twisted to catch the hairs and remove them from the root. Like most methods of hair removal by the root, threading is not entirely pain-free but as no products or heat are applied to the skin (as in waxing), it's ideal for those with sensitive skin. For the delicate eye area, threading is great because the skin isn't pulled or stretched. With threading, it's possible to remove a line of hairs at once which means it's quicker than "tweezer-ing" and provides a really accurate line.
You've probably seen threading carried out in some of the high street chain stores and even in shopping malls; maybe you've wanted to try it for yourself in somewhere a little less public? Come and try threading in my private therapy room without any spectators watching!
